Guest Speaker, Mac McParland will join us to present a lecture, “Beer Glorious Beer: the History of Beer and Newark Breweries.” A member both of the Historical Society and of the Glen Ridge Home Brewers Association, Mac will discuss the history of beer going back to antiquity. We will learn how beer came to North America and what role it played in the development of the U.S. Special attention will be given to the breweries of Newark, once the brewing capital of the United States. Prior to their lectures, members will vote for new officers and trustees.
